Signalling equipment is a set of facilities that function to provide cues of shape, color or lighting placed at a certain place and gives a signal with a certain sense to regulate and control the trains operation.
Signal word comes from Latin "signum" meaning sign. The signal is the bearer of news about the railroad situation for the train crew. Viewed from its shape, the signal distinguished between optical signals and acoustic signals. Optical signals in the form of hand movement, a combination of arm position on the signal and light poles showned. Acoustic signals in the form of loudspeakers, flute, horn or whistle and others.

|manual Simenes & Halske||Manual Siemens & Halske Signalling is a signaling system which is driven mechanically / manually by human power. Signal bars on the signal pole driven by signal handle that placed at the station. The signal handle with the signal bars on the signal pole are connected by wire or chain. The Alkmaar and manual Siemens & Halske Signalling used in the railway line with not high train travel frequency. Because interlocking signal not allow installed on both of them, accordingly the train travel security system was only based on news exchanges between stations, which are recorded in the book train news.||Indro, Benteng, Kalibaru, Banyuwangi Baru|
|semi-automatic Siemens & Halske||Semi automatic Siemens & Halske Signalling system is driven with electro-mechanical device blocks mechanically/ manually. Physical form of this signaling is the same as manual Siemens & Halske Signalling that is placed an additional block cabinet. Role of the block cabinet as interlocking between stations. Characteristics of this signaling system is above the signal handles, there are a rotator and block cabinet with a few small glass window that could show a red or white color, and suppressor knobs on that small window.
